Don't enlist, don't re-enlist, get out ASAP.

Gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and intersexed people are encouraged to shun the military forces being illegally utilized by George W. Bush; to make a broad-based, conscious choice against volunteering for, serving in, or re-enlisting in that military, which already bans our participation as fully realized human beings; to remove our warm bodies from feeding the corrupted machine of this man’s military.

[This is a sort of very loose template. The following reasons are why others support this call. You would have your own reasons. Replace any or all of these with your own reasons. The bottom line is the same. Don't enlist, don't re-enlist, get out as soon as possible.

The Neo-Christian Nationalist, New Tory government of the United States of America has already passed internal laws which attempt to create a pretence: that it can retro-actively place the perpetrators of its ongoing domestic and Constitutional crimes, and its international war crimes, and its crimes against humanity, outside the scope, enforceable jurisdiction and limits of justice for those crimes, including the Geneva Conventions’ world-recognized statutes describing the humane handling of suspect prisoners and prisoners of war, both domestically and internationally.

These Neo-Christian Nationalists -- however they may have originally stolen into power, personally or as part of a unified, malignant front; regardless of what despicable means they used and will use to keep and expand the impact of their control over that power -- are representing our nation to The People of today’s world as the best product of this nation’s past, and serve as our government’s message to The People and the governments of the future.

This government has worked its propaganda magic to effectively expand the range of what seems acceptable to U.S. citizens -- yet has never been, and should never be, acceptable -- specifically, allowing and encouraging internationally illegal practices to be directed by secretly employed private contractors such as the civilian-garbed war criminals directing and inciting the actions of the low-grade U.S. military servicemembers in the photographs of Abu Ghraib.

These illegal practices are described variously as “physical torture of arrested people,” “secret, indefinite detentions, prosecutions and executions of any person or groups of people, anywhere, including U.S. citizens, with no cause required, no possible oversight since it's done in secret, and no requirement to give notice to anyone or any nation, ever” (referred to worldwide as “the disappeared” of every murderous government).

“Wanton, unnecessary, indiscriminate and targeted murder of civilians of all ages,” “use of internationally banned weapons and bombing techniques,” “internationally illegal state terrorism against civilians and nations worldwide, represented by the U.S. policy and practice of unchecked, pre-emptive aggression, invasion, and occupation of sovereign nations for the profit of a few,” “malfeasance during occupation of a foreign nation”, “sexual humiliation and sexual abuse of prisoners of the U.S.A.,” “water-boarding,” “use of prisoner photographs for propaganda,” etc.

It is impossible to list them all here, there are so many illegal, vile acts, and none are insignificant.

Court cases by proven innocent and released victims of these war crimes are routinely thrown out, because to declare in open court that the U.S. is conducting activities worthy of several war crimes tribunals would be to "jeopardize the interests of Homeland Security."

The immediate increased risks are enormous, to active duty military personnel and to anyone who could be claimed to be a representative of the U.S.A., therefore a target, including its citizens resident anywhere in the world.

That horribly increased level of risk to The People of the U.S.A. -- maliciously instigated for profit and power, artificially maintained by sociopathic manipulation -- flows directly from the newest form of the age-old puppetry of The People by The Elites: ultra-nationalist fervor energized by popular religious movements.

Neo-Christian Nationalism is new because earlier empirical hyper-nationalist fascism could not print valid world money at will, and the U.S.A. is the world’s most armed source of war hardware and weapons of mass destruction.

The final outcome of seeking world ownership and dominion is always the same, enormous, deadly failure. The numbers of otherwise uninvolved people of the world who are dead at the end of each run for world control are higher each time, are going to be higher this time than ever before, and will be higher the next time, if there is a next time possible.

We can remember when we used to seek peace on Earth above all, both personal peace and peace between nations, and we believed that to be possible.

Countenanced and encouraged by George W. Bush, Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld, and Attorney General Alberto Gonzalez among others in the Executive Branch, and the U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. Senate, and the Supreme Court of the U.S.A., this unnecessarily increased level of risk resonates with special dreaded familiarity in the guts of every veteran and front-line, or potentially front-line, military volunteer or government contractor worldwide.

Knowledge and tolerance of torture techniques, along with survival skills under torture, are normally part of their training. The chances of being tortured in the performance of their duties just sky rocketed. The jobs haven’t changed because of this monstrous policy, but the conditions of their employment have, drastically and permanently.

Everyone knew, before, that crossing the line between kidnapping and torture against even one person from America meant the entire weight of every part of the United States came down on your head without hesitation.

Torturing an American citizen would guarantee you get extra trouble. Torturing a member of the American military would gain you a whole lot of dead, guaranteed.

Because we don't do that, we do not need to tolerate anyone doing that to us. That's the way it used to be.

Now, the American military is helping with and carrying out horrific torture with illegal contracted civilian and government secret organizations, run by the CIA, the Pentagon and the Executive branch together and separately.


All U.S. veterans, living and dead, are dishonored.

Further, the U.S.A. has made itself known to the world as a nation which supports, practices and legalizes religious discrimination against one group of people, citizens or not -- members of The People who have or are perceived to have a sexual orientation which is not exclusively heterosexual -- with the participation of The People and the government of the U.S.A.

The Supreme Court commits the error of avoidance by not accepting cases where a ruling on the relative equality of human beings would be required, again; this time as equality pertains to those who are, or who are assumed to be, gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered, or intersexed.

A large majority of states, and a large majority of The People, have clearly declared, by law and practices (Defense Of Marriage Act: DOMA; a variety of state laws and constitutional amendments passed by the votes of The People and their elected legislatures), that there is no equality due for persons whose orientation might be perceived to be other than exclusively heterosexual.

The protections described as the fundamental rights of humans by the bedrock principle, “Equal Justice Under Law,” a capsulized version of that equality as recognized and protected, not granted by any person or group of people, in the Constitution of the U.S.A.

The illegal current government of the U.S.A., represented by George W. Bush, has repeatedly urged Congress to pass an Amendment to the Constitution of the U.S.A., to then be sent to all of the states for possible ratification. The agenda for the amendment's passage included an unusual daytime speech live from the White House, with repetition during the next State of the Union Address. Bush declared that the full weight and power of the Office of the President of the U.S.A. is helping to pass the Amendment.

This encouraged and allowed many states to pass their own legislation. Pushed by Bush's free propaganda for this unpopular, religion-based national campaign to amend the Constitution, a patchwork of so many state bans have been passed that the passage of an additional nationwide Amendment has become almost unnecessary, and the same goal of targeted, institutionalized religious discrimination against some of We, The People, is achieved.

For these reasons, and many more, completely shunning service in the U.S. military is encouraged. It’s time to move on. You are desperately needed at home, to defend your nation from domestic enemies. Your military and civilian leaders believe hets are prepared and ready to stand up, as you stand down.

No individual statement needs to be made (for those who can, please do), no mention of this shunning needs to be given for not re-enlisting, or for seeking an early separation, or for not volunteering in the first place.

This call is specifically for gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered (using the umbrella term), intersexed, questioning, and our supporters, to get out as quickly as possible, to not re-enlist or volunteer to serve in the military, as a means of legal, non-violent protest, against:

1.  The nation's abandonment of the bedrock principle, “Equal Justice Under Law”; including the barring of citizens from receiving that for which they have paid, with their lives and their finances, such as equal benefits derived from the mandatory Social Security employment taxes; along with failure to protect each of those rights and privileges for gays which are automatically attached to others’ citizenship;

2.  The U.S. campaign to pass an Amendment to the Constitution permanently barring same-gender couples from purchasing a local government-issued marriage license, a campaign upon which has been constructed a nationwide platform eliminating our right to exercise our equality, a campaign which has jeopardized our future attainment of protection for all rights which should be ours as citizens, yet are not;

3.  Continued abuse by and in the military despite the government and military promises known ludicrously as the official policy of “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, Don’t Pursue, Don’t Harass”;

4.  The illegal war and occupation of the sovereign nation of Iraq; and the deadly, fact-resistant incompetence demonstrated by this government in both Afghanistan and Iraq;

5.  The U.S. military’s adoption of practices and conduct toward prisoner suspects and prisoners of war which are repugnant, illegal war crimes against humanity; including the elimination of habeas corpus protection; and the use of secret, indeterminate detention at the discretion of George W. Bush in order to hide his shameful practices, secret executions, murder of civilians, and the horrific torture to death of innocent people;

6.  The U.S. government's squandering of this nation's earned and hard-won credibility worldwide, due to the breath-taking depth, breadth and consistency of their lies, and the lack of adequate oversight by any other branch of the U.S. government;

7.  And George W. Bush’s obviously dangerous and extra-legal set-up of an internationally untouchable oligarchy at the mercy of the monied elite, based on lies, scapegoating, a domestic police state, murder, torture, and robbery.
